What the Shopify CRO score measures, what it covers, and how to share it.
What is the conversion score based on?
A fixed look at the product page. Can a shopper buy, does the cart grow, and is the page fighting itself. It is not a prediction of your conversion rate. A miss means this page doesn’t match that checklist.
Do I need a product link?
No. A store domain is enough. A product from the store is scored for you. Paste a product URL when you want that specific item.
What does the Shopify CRO Audit cover?
The product page and the cart. Not your Shopify admin, checkout, orders, or discounts.
Can a password-protected store be checked?
Yes. If the storefront asks for a password, use the same one shoppers type. It is not stored on the report or the share link.
Can I share the score?
After a run you get a link, a badge, and a PDF. The link shows the saved snapshot. It does not re-check the store.
Can the score be wrong?
Yes. A popup or age gate can hide the product. Pause those and run it again. Treat the number as a starting point for the product page, not a verdict on the whole store.
How should I use the score before and after a change?
Run the same product URL each time and change one thing between runs. A score that rises after one change tells you what that change did to the checklist. Check your analytics to see whether sales moved too.
